The Hi Power (Hydro Induction Power) micro hydro turbines are made for locations where the water is a long distance from the batteries. The Hi Power micro hydro turbines will charge a battery bank at 12, 24 or 48 volts DC. The transmission line from the turbine to the batteries is a high voltage AC to minimize losses due to long cable runs. The AC voltage ranges from 120VAC wild voltage and phase for the 600 watt turbine, to 240 or 480VAC for the turbines with multiple nozzles up to 3600 watts. When the power reaches your batteries the power is stepped down and rectified to a voltage you can use to charge your batteries.
